Love love love this pub! Friendly, welcoming, traditional, full of life and filled with locals!
The owner is just a sweetheart, he's owned the pub for 23 year and you can tell just how proud he is of his pub. It's lovely.
Drinks are reasonably priced - 3 drinks for around £13!
They have a couple of benches outside for those sunny evenings.
The pub itself isn't huge but they also have an upstairs room for functions. Sure it's no oil painting inside but its traditional and reminded me of home. I loved it!
Will definitely be back! My new work local :) -

This is our local, being about 100 ft from our doorstep, and we finally made it in for the ALT v RM game. It's cozy inside in the only way a proper English pub is with old carpeting and a feeling like you've entered someone's living room. The game was on so tables were rapt but we quickly grabbed the only free table and put in food orders at the bar. Within 10 minutes we had a piping hot plate of the steak and Fullers London Pride pie w peas and chips and the classic burger. They were delicious, filling, and each under £9. Once we were done they were properly cleared and since we had already paid up at the counter, free to sit and drink without bother. Will consider this an easy regular spot in future.

A proper ungentrified pub, in a good way! Friendly and accomodating staff, relatively hipster free, good beer and very good freshly cooked pub food. This is my work local and I come reguarly for lunch, always consistent. We recently had a leaving lunch for a colleague and they accomodated 15 of us with ease upstairs (great find)!

I think this could easily be a 4 star depending on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a little corner pub to catch a game at, this is straight up your alley. You know, one of those pubs where when the games return from commercial, everyone's heads turn up to the monitors and you can practically hear a pin drop. I have a distinct feeling that since it's surrounded by pubs, that there's a solid bunch of regulars that have earned their places that hold up the walls.
Great Sutton Street is kind of like Plinko, everyone will either settle into Slaughtered Lamb, 1920, or here. Since I'll typically settle into a different scene, I'll leave the good seats for the regulars, but it is a nice little corner pub. -

Smallish pub serves a couple of ales and a guest (love guest aleseven if it was Whitstable Bay which I am very familiar with). There are also a few tables outside on the road. S-Express being played quite loud, taking me back to my childhood.
This pub is alright, but nothing special (apart from the Scottish barmaid, who's accent made my toes curlin a good way.)
